I am undergoing secondary infertiltiy. I went 5 cycles of clomid with IUI & 2 cycles of Repronex with IUI, and I am not pregnant. My RE suggested IVF. He said he would do a lap if I wanted, but he recommends IVF. I want to know why I am not getting pregnant. Is it prudent for me to do a lap? If he doesn't perceive endometriosis or blockage, is it a waste of time? Do women who undergo a lap do so because they have some sort of symptoms that steer the DR to do this proceedure? Is the proceedure painful? Do I need to take off from work?
