Nancy Snyderman, like all public figures, have the opportunity to be policy makers. Unfortunately, she misused her power in a way that can propel public opinion against our goal of obtaining insurance coverage, not to mention, how her stupidity influences your Aunt Edna and your neighbor's cousin's friend (who gets to bend your ear at a barbeque). I think the important message here is this: Clearly, the many emails to GMA hit their mark, because her remarks were edited when the show aired again on Lifetime later in the week. Hopefully, she got an earfull, if not an education. All we as infertile women and men can do is advocate on our own behalfs as much as we can bear, be verbal, be your own advocate, write letters, talk to people, do what you need to. As much influence as a Nancy Snyderman can have, you can have too. I believe that Debi touched hearts that day. Nancy Snyderman only touched ears. We have just as much power as she does. Be angry, but don't take it to heart.
