: When is your amnio? Good Luck. I am totally thinking + for you! Leslie

Hi Leslie!

How are you feeling? Long time no hear from. I haven't been on the board much. Sometimes from work I am so tired, I don't want to do anything. I've become very lazy. I want to start exercising a little again, I was finally given permission as well as to have sex, but we are too scared.
How have you been feeling? I read one of your posts when you were not feeling so good, I am not sure if you saw my follow-up, It just said to keep the faith and some other positive messages for you.
My amnio is next Tuesday. I am a little frightened, I am not so scared of the procedure, because I have already been through so much, but they say that 1 in 200 women miscarry. And in addition, given my age, 38 my chances for Down's Syndrome is 1/177. Those are still pretty good odds, but you just never know with these things. A friend of mine's sister-in-law is only thirty and she gave birth to a Down's Syndrome baby. And if I knew that this child that I am carrying had DS, I would get rid of it as much as it would painful. Hey if Madonna, is 42 and her chances are 1 in 65, then I should be in pretty good standing. My gut is telling me that everything will be alright. I don't want to even totally celebrate this pregnancy until I get these results. Anyway, enough about me. I must have talked your ear off. This is what happens when you don't get on the internet very often.
Let me know when you are cycling again. And I do want to attend one of those meetings, it would be great. I don't know if they are too late in the evening for me to go. Let me know and we can hook up. Take care of yourself Leslie and I'll talk to you soon. E-mail me if you want.
