: I had a lap back in March. I believe you need reg. anethesis as it is a surgical procedure. I was also scared to death but now that it is over it was not to bad. I was in pain for a couple of days but at least I now know more info. They made a small incision at my belly button and another lower down by the pubic line. I have a tendency to scare REALLY BAD. I have had birh marks removed with the scarring worse then the birth mark but I have to say my re did a great job and it is hardly noticable.
