Dear Dori:
Falloposcopy is a relatively new procedure. Since it involves direct visualization of the inside of the fallopian tubes, it is probably better at picking up subtle abnormalities than an HSG. However, at this time, there have not been many studies done to determine whether or not this procedure is useful in the diagnosis or treatment of infertility.

: I have been wondering about a procedure called falloposcopy. I had a HSG done, which showed tubes open. I then had a lap done where they found and removed adhesions. Since dye flows thru my tubes and there was no scar tissue would this procedure be necessary?
: Thanks for any thoughts.
