I definately would appreciate any help and advice. I believe that I have PCOS and I am having a hard time getting my OB/GYN to agree.
My cousin who has it alerted me to it and the more I read on it, the more I am certain.
This is my story..from day one I was diagnosed with endometriosis as a young teen due to family history, incredibly painful cramps, little bleeding, brief periods and very irregular periods.
The pill was great to keep me regular. But, two years ago I went off the pill to try and get pregnant at 27 after 15 years on the pill. The doctor said keep trying, now for the past four months I have been on Clomid which hasn't helped.
After running multiple tests each month he claims I don't ovulate and in over a year have only ovulated once. To get my period (since I'm trying to get pregnant) I also take medication monthly to induce the period.
Therefore, I'm on medication for 20 days each month to bring on a period and five days a month on clomid.
Obviously, I don't ovulate or get regular periods without medication, plus I am overweight and have embarrassing hair growth that has increased since I've been off the pill and is getting worse. I must wax every two weeks my stomach, chin, upper lip, side of face and cheeks. This is expensive and painful.
The doctor tested my blood after I insisted and claims I don't have abnormal male hormones. But, what else could it be?
I know this is long, but I"m desperate for help and just found this fabulous message board.
Thanks everyone!
