I read the article in LHJ, & I too have MANY of the symptoms they listed in the article. I visited my Dr., listed my symptoms, he ordered a battery of blood tests. The nurse called with the results, all negative with the exception of the LDL, for which they prescribed Lipitor. I am 41, & no longer interested in having children. But I don't want any of the other things either!!
A year ago, while seeing a GYN about uterine cysts, I asked him about PCOS. His reply was "we don't usually persue tests unless you have a full beard, & are signifigantly overweight!" I don't want to wait that long...Aren't there risks involved?
Where do I turn for help now?
