Many women with PCOS have "normal" lab tests. For women with insulin resistance, Metformin may be very helpful in increasing ovulation and pregnancy rates, as well as reducing the risk of becoming hyperstimulated on ovulation induction medications. Good luck.

: OK, here goes.. I am 28 years old. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1995 (although I never got a menstrual cycle on my own -- not withouth the help of birth control pills at age 17). I was seeing an RE last year who did a full blood workup. ALL bloodwork came back in "normal" range. I was up to 200mg of Clomid...I went for an ultrasound...and nothing. I then had to do a liver function test...but also in "normal" range. That was last September and finally I am getting over the disappointment of all those "negative" pregnancy tests... I am willing to try again. I am reading alot of information on PCOS and insulin resistence. My question to you is: Although ALL of my bloodwork came back "normal", Metaforin, Rezulin, etc. help with Clomid? What are the success rates for women with PCOS w/fine bloodwork? Please help. thank you
