Tracy: I'm not a doctor but as far as I know, the superabsorbant tampons associated with toxic shock syndrome are no longer marketed. You should feel comfortable using a tampon this weekend for swimming. Change it on a regular basis. Obviously, if you are bleeding really heavily or in severe pain, consult your doctor. Ellen Bender
