Question for Doctor!

I have been going to a doctor for hypothyroidism for about 6 years now. I have taken synthroid and have had no results. I moved and found a wonderful dr. who thinks that in addition, I may have PCOS. She has changed my synthroid to thyrolar and put me on glucophage at the same time. I am slowly getting back to regular menstruation, but am unsure whether it's due to the glucophage or thyrolar. I had an ultrasound with cysts found, however my bloodwork showed normal sugar levels prior to the glucophage. Dr. prescribed 3 glucophage a day, and I found I can only withstand taking one. What can I do to find out if I have PCOS or just symptoms of hypothyroidism??
Thank you so much!
