I have been treated with birth control pills for years for irregualr periods and was diagnosed with pcos six years ago. I continued with the pills until late last year. My cycle is once again irregular and I am feeling very frustrated. I wish to get pregnant in the near future and do not want to resume the pills. My ob/gyn recommended progesterone until I am ready to have a child. I am not entirely comfortable with this MD and wish to see a specialist. Does anyone know of a PCOS specialist in the NYC metropolitan area? I would be very grateful for any help anyone can offer. I have been struggling with the since the age of 14.
