pcos insulin resistance Question for a doctor

If you have bloodwork for a fertility evaluation does that automatically test you for insulin resistance. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and don't remember my RE mentioning this test to me. I have a very well respected RE affiliated with an excellent center but was just wondering?
