Hi! I'm a non-insulin-resistant pcos pt on metformin 500mg tid. I ovulated after 2 months on the med. and had an iui, but no pregnancy resulted. Since then (last 2 months), I have not ovulated (I'm very bad about taking the med. at the correct intervals). QUESTION: Is it reasonable to up the dosage to either 875mg. bid or 1,000mg. bid? I feel that dosing it twice a day will make it easier to stick to a schedule, and perhaps make a difference in cycling. I don't want to approach my r.e. if it's not reasonable or there are no studies to back this approach, especially since I'm not i.r. Thanks in advance for the answer. Sorry so long!
