Maggie,
Sorry I have not been around.

We are all glad that you are pregnant and understand your concerns. Sometimes when you have achieved your goal you just can't believe that you are so lucky, and fear that something else will happen.

I'm glad that you are having an amnio. It's a good precaution for anyone over the age of 35.

This is a "natural" pregnancy. Aside from age, there is nothing in your history that we have evidence for to suggest that you are at increased risk of problems.

Good Luck.

: Hi Doctor!

: I will be going through an amnio and I am getting a little frightened. I am 38 years old. A little bit on my history, I have had one cancelled IVF and went through three Failed IVF's. Back in March, I got pregnant on my own without any medical assistance. Something has been bothering me. Did the quality of my eggs which were okay not great, have anything to do with not getting pregnant. And is there any correlation as to the IVF's failing and now that I am pregnant does that increase the chances of having an abnormal baby. I hope that I explained this to your comprehension.
