Hi everyone!

I hope this is not a repost of something that has been answered before. If it is, please point me in the right direction for answers! Thanks.

Here goes: All of my life, I've had abnormal periods. I was put on the pill when I was 16 or so. The last two times I stopped taking the pill, I got pregnant right away. Well, this time I stopped taking the pill ttc a third child. I haven't had a period in 4 months, so I went to an ob/gyn. (Just having moved, I went to one I'm not familiar with, but who came recommended.) He tested my hormone and thyroid levels. He diagnosed me with PCOS based on my FSH, LH, and Prolactin levels. Insulin resistance was not tested and an ultrasound was not done. Here's my question: I'm taking hormones to start my menstrual cycle and then am to take Chlomid to induce ovulation. Is it possible that I do not have PCOS? Should more tests be done? I don't have any other symptoms of PCOS---never have. I just wasn't having a period and my hormones appear to be out of whack.

Sorry this was so long. Can anyone help me?

TIA!
