I'm sadly not dr barad, but in any case my dh had similar SA results and we did ICSI which is what my IVF clinic (Cornell) recommends with low morphology (anything under 5%). When I asked drs about how morphology affects outcome they said that in studies IVF rates were increased with ICSI. As I only had 4 eggs it was v important to me that they all fertilised (which they did), so I was pretty glad to have had that recommended. Don't think morphology affects embryo development and will be interested to read Dr. Barad's reply. But with ICSI you might well have more eggs fertilised, and thus more embies to select from.
: My husband had a semen analysis (Kruger scale) done twice. His morphology was 0% the first time and 1% the second time. His count and motility appear good. We have been trying to conceive for 2 1/2 years. My diagnosis is unexplained. I have had one failed IVF attempt where none of the embryos made it to blast (I had 3 morula transfered). Would it be impossible for me to get pregnant naturally considering his low morphology? What is the likelihood the morphology had anything to do with the slow development of my embryos during my first IVF?
