dexamethsone is a corticsteroid medication that can be taken orally or topically.It is used, most commomly, to treat inflammatory conditions of the skin. It is used it on physical therapy patients with iontophoresis, which is an electric stimulation machine that supposedly drives the medication into the affected tissues.
