: DeeDee,

: You need to ask your herbal specialist about the herbs. I don't belive there is anything in the medical literature to support herbal remidies for infertility. The most we can say is that they may not hurt your chances.

: At 43years old I feel that the wait of a few fomnths is more than you can afford. Time is your greatest enemy. I wouldn't spend time on an unproven herbal remedy if you are ready to start something with a greater chance of success.

: Good Luck.

: : After 1 cancelled IVF a mo. ago(due to poor response) I had made a decision to start acupuncture (with a Fertility specialist). Have gone to 4 sessions but at the same time changed RE's and am now at Cornell and was slotted in for their next series for IVF which is to start for me in a few days.

: : The dillema I have is this.. would it be worth putting off IVF for a month or 2, taking the herbs combined with acupuncture and THEN going for IVF if don't conceive? Have a course of herbs/acupuncture proven to greatly help in conception over 40? I am not taking any herbs at this time (RE's advice) but wonder about the efficacy of the acupuncture alone.

: : I'm 43.1, had 2 pg (1 m/c, 1 abortion 5 yrs ago) FSH was tested twice: 11, 9.3. Have no other problems: HSG normal, sperm normal... I'm prepared to do DE if my next IVF fails but truly want to give this my best shot.

: : Thanks for your opinions
