At any age half the eggs have been demonstrated to be chromosomally abnormal. The rate of aneuploidy (abnormal chromosomes) in women over 40 is 50%. If you get an embryo transfer the live birth rate is about 15%. Hopefully you will be in the succesful group.

: I am 42 years old-had retrieval yesterday of 19 eggs. Statistically, how many of these might be chromosomally normal? Thanks.
