I'm new to this board ... was wondering what to expect. I am scheduled to have a lap done next week. I went in last month for a hsg and the dr could not get through my cervix. He said that there was barely any room for my period to get through, let alone my husband's sperm.
My dr thinks this is the cause of us not getting pregnant. I had a lap done about 9 years ago because I had an ovarian cyst the size of a softball. After that surgery, for the next 5 years, I encountered LEEP surgery, cryosurgery, pap smears every 3 months and abnormal pap smears.
My paps are normal now, but the dr hinted that maybe scar tissue has built up and that's why he wants to do the lap. Also wants to do a hysteroscopy.
He also mentioned that my progesterone was low. Had it tested again at day 21 and it was a 3. What does this mean? we're 30 years old and have been ttc for 14 months. (Husband did SA and is ok).
