I've hear the hpt really doesn't register pg until you have a beta level over 50. Which can be a few days post beta testing. I have a friend who is definitely pg, and she has been doing the hpts and she told me she has only recently got a positive result, and to not rely on them at all (she keeps worrying that it's going to go away). I always figure that a positive is good news and a negative is either bad news, but more often given our impatience, too early. I wish you the very best of luck. Don't panic if you spot, don't stop the progesterone, and the only thing truly predictive of pg is beta levels (and even that can be a mixed result as I got a low beta and am waiting again for result of 2nd test).

All best wishes,
Theresa

: I was perhaps stupid - I am 8 days post 3 day transfer and I did a home preg test. It was negative. I am all depressed now and even more scared. WHat is the likelihood that the test reading could be acurate at this point? (Fact Plus) When is a hpt acurate??
