Doubling times are base upon single embryo pregnancies. In ART more than one embryo can be contributing to the hcg level. While one embryo may not make it another embryo can be growing normally and contribute hcg to the measurement. What is important to diagnose the outcome is the ultrasound which is typically done one week later. In the mean time it is probably wise to check one more hcg level to see if it is continuing to rise.
There is little one can do to help the pregnancy along. HCG levels are a product of the placenta and the level of your activity or the amount of progesterone you take will not influence its growth. If the fetus is normal it will produce adequate amounts of HCG. Continue to follow the recommendations of your doctor about activity and hormone replacement that is adivsed for all pregnant women.
Good luck.
