The "normal" day 3 FSH values were develped for women who ahdnot used any recent medication. If you took Provera or birth control pills the FSH results will be affected by those medications. Furthermore, depending on the assay that they used, some medications may still be in your blood and cross-react with the assay-giving a false result.
Your original FSH/estradiol was normal, so don't be discouraged by these results.

: 43 years old, recently pregnant on my own, lost baby in 5th month, been trying again for 6 months with no luck. In Feb. my FSH was 6.2 and Estradiol was 78. My fertility doctor was going to out me on the pill for 3 weeks and then start an IVF cycle. Went for 2nd opinion, skipped a period, Doctor put me on Provera and did a Day 3 FSH and Estradiol after Provera. FSH 11/ Estradiol 150. Is this a true reading since I was on Provera.
