: I am totally confused...so help, please! It was so much easier having to pay out-of-pocket and then being reimbursed from the insurance company, no matter what doctor you used. We now have a choice of choosing either CIGNA PPO or Oxford's Freedom Plan. I was all set to go to Cornell, but they explained this morning, after much probing from me, that they don't accept Oxford for IVF and it's considered out of network for Oxford. In order for me to be covered through Oxford, it has to be in network. Because we haven't chosen a plan yet, getting information from my husband's Human Resources Representative is like pulling teeth. So, does anyone know which doctors accept either of these two plans. Preferably Manhattan, but I'll do Long Island or Queens. And we have to decide by Friday afternoon. Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I would be a little leary of Oxford at this time. I know several people, who have Oxford (different employers), that have received letters from Oxford that they are dropping the infertility coverage. I don't know if they are planning to do this across the board, so I would thoroughly check with them that you will definitely have the coverage, and they have no plans to effect the policy you will be getting.

Good Luck!

Linda
