Hi Everyone!!!! The troops have returned from our very very successful rally on the steps of the capitol building in Albany!! Friends and Members of AIA, passed out baby booties which were attached to buttons that read "One House Bills Won't Fill These Shoes". The buttons and booties were a must have item by all the assembly and senators! They really helped drive the message home. Fifty Friends and Members of AIA, pushed empty baby strollers and carried signs while chanting our messages! It was wonderful and the very important media coverage was very heavy. We were covered by ABC, NBC and CBS news, as well as the associated press, and many upstate newspapers. Once again, The AIA was brought our message to the front burner, just weeks before the end of the session!! The budget is done! Now it is time for us!!!! Please continue to write and ask our leaders in Albany to meet in the middle on the language in our bill so that we can have a mandate! Many legislators came and address our crowd, and the spirit of the rally was positive and exciting! Thank you to all our brave troopers who dragged themselves to Albany on this very hot day!!! Your presence was worth millions. I can't thank all of your enough for all of your support. Together, we will pass a law!!!!!! What an incredible day!!!!!!!!
