Sometimes women with irregular ovulation due to PCO can have mildly elevated prolactin. A mildly elevated prolactin is rarely the sole cause of infertility. Make sure you have a complete work-up before you accept that diagnosis and begin treatment.

: I had my hormones tested and everything thing was normal except for my prolactin, which was 24. My doctor said that 20 was borderline, and being that it was morning and i hadn't eaten anything he told me that i should retest. I found out today that my new result is 26. what does this mean?
