I'm doing my first IVF cycle and posted a few days ago cos I wasn't sure what to do about the fact I had 3 mature follicles and 2 smaller ones. It was a very stressful decision, mainly because I was so upset at producing so few follicles. Anyway, I finally decided it was now or never, and went ahead. So I wanted to share my joy at finding that all of them fertilised with the help of ICSI. We're pg in a petri dish in Cornell's lab. A truly out of body experience. It may be the most pg I ever get so of course now I am worried about them making it to transfer. But just trying to stay in the moment and not let those godawful fears torment me.
I have been very glad to have the board to post a question to a dr. or just get a perspective on what everyone else is going thru, and to feel the compassion which is so necessary to get through this. I also really like Dr. Barad's comments - funny and caring (which Cornell certainly isn't).
Wish me luck!!!
