My husband's sperm analysis results showed: 72.0 m count, .7 volume, 48% motility (mostly 2/2+ and some 3's), 19% normal shape, 26% normal acrosomal morphology and a moderate amount of bacteria and clumping.
My RE suggested we do IUI with out any emphasis on seeing a urologist in order to find a diagnosis or treatment. Do these #'s indicate a problem that is not correctable? Would it be common medical practice to begin IUI before addressing the issues with my husband's sperm? Based on the SA #'s is it benefical for us to see a urologist? Thanks for your help.
