In general, it is good to have a low FSH. To interpret your result we really need to know the estradiol as well. If your estradiol is less than 50 then an FSH of 7 is a normal result. If your estadiol is greater than 80 then your FSH result can not be used to judge your fertility. The exception to the rule "low FSH is good FSH" comes at the extreme low end. Very low FSH might mean that your pituitary is not able to make enough FSH to make you fertile. In most labs extreme low would be around less than 1. You would also be without menstrual cycles.

It sounds like your result was normal. Be happy. Trust the good sign. Be hopeful.

: What is a good range for an FSH level? Is there a certain number that it should be below?

: I just had a day 3 FSH done and it came back at 7. My RE says this is "fine". I just wanted to get more information.
