My husband has had a few biopsies. They were done in his urologist's office with local anesthesia. He was able to go home within a few hours and had to restrain from heavy activity for a day or two. My husband never complained, and said the worst he felt was a tight pulling sensation while healing. As with so many of the procedures we have to go through, the biopsy sounds much scarier than it actually is.
