Dear Maggie
If your BHCG level is rising that is certainly a good sign, but unfortunately it does not guarantee a viable pregnancy. I have had many patients experience slight bleeding early in pregnancy with a good outcome. You should be in close touch with your doctor until you can be sure what is going on. (Bleeding early in pregnancy can also be a sign of an ectopic or tubal pregnancy which can be dangerous if unrecognized). Best of luck to you.

: Hi !

: I would like to know if it means anything at all when you are faced with a threatened miscarriage and you've tested your beta HcG and progesterone one day and repeated them two days later and the numbers are still climbing. In other words, can an embryo still grow if you will be experiencing a miscarriage.
