Dear Patty
A friend of mine has had these cysts since she was a teenager. I believe they are congenital which means that you cannot do anything to prevent them-for some reason your body is producing them. My friend, who had one quarter of one ovary left by the time she was 31 was still able to do 2 successful IVF's (she had tubal problems as well) and has a son and twin daughters!!! Good luck, debra
