It was helpful to have my husband there, since those big long needles were a bit intimidating! If your husband is going to be doing your injections for you, then it's good if he can see where the needle is supposed to go.

I urge you to ask lots of questions at the orientation. The nurses are GREAT at NYU - they're very patient, so don't feel that any question is too silly to ask. Also, the nurse that gives the orientation will probably give you her phone number, so if you have any questions afterwards (and we had lots!), you can call her directly.
