It is possible for Clomid to cause the ovaries to shut down in a woman with high FSH? I am 32-1/2 years old and have high had two elevated FSH test results. My CD3 FSH was 15 in January 2000. I achieved pregnancy that month but miscarried 9 weeks later (after a fetal heartbeat was detected). My CD3 FSH was tested again in July and it was 32. I have been taking Clomid, but my ovaries are not producing more than one egg. Evidently this month I did not ovulate because my progesterone on Day 22 was zero and my estrogen was less than 20. What should be my next steps, considering my age and FSH situation? Should I stop Clomid? Should I taking nothing for a few months? Should I resort to more aggressive treatments?
