Generally, we don't consider bleeding within 6 weeks of a D and C to be a normal period. It can take that long for the pregnancy hormone to be completely eliminated and you should not try to conceive within that time frame.
If you have excessive bleeding or fever you should notify your doctor. Some bleeding, as if you were menstruating, is normal.

: I had a d&c on Wednesday. I bled very little after that. But then I started bledding heavier today, with some cramping. Is it normal to start bleeding this late? Or is it possible that I have started my period?
