In saying that you started your IVF a week ago, I assume that you mean that you have taken a week of gonadotropin shots. If this is the case one would expect at least 4 follicles over 15 mm. By maturity, the follicles should be over 18mm. If they are slow growing ask about your day 3 FSH. See if there are alternate stimulation protocols that might work better for you. If they think you can do better, it may pay to wait for a different cycle to have egg harvesting.

: I started my first IVF cycle a week ago. I’ve had daily blood tests done. My RE told me that he was concerned that my estrogen level isn’t high enough as it should be by now. Today’s ultra sound showed one small follicle one side and two on the other. Am I on the right track? I’m confused. What questions should I ask him?
