With both of my IVFs the nurse has called to confirm my beta results. Since I drive so far to the clinic I am given written orders that allows me to have my beta HCG done locally. They also give me permission to get my results directly from the lab and then they are also faxed to my clinic. Both times I have called the lab and found out my results before the nurse called. I personally would rather have one of the nurses call with the results because I am much closer to them than my RE. I talk to them much more in my cycle than the RE anyway. But, I do understand you wanting your RE to call with the results since he/she is the one that we pay all of this money to.
