Wow! My RE has the nurse call for a lot of stuff, but not the beta results! It might be time for a new doc. This seems very insensitive to me.
As far as the follow-up appointment, I have to wait almost 4 weeks, although they did try to get me in earlier (I wasn't able to).
You have to do what's right for you, but it doesn't sound like you're too happy with your current RE. It might be time to look elsewhere.
