Dear Mary:
1. The wait list depends upon donor availability. For anonymous donation, we have 2 sources of donors: donors recruited by us and donors recruited by an agency. All donors, regardless of where they come from are screened personally by us. The wait for donors recruited by us is 6-12 months. The wait for a donor from an agency is much less to none, since they have a larger pool of donors available.
2. If you are from out of town, we would try and coordinate your visit such that all preliminary testing that must be done here can be accomplished in one visit. Then, one more stay is necessary for your husband to give sperm at the time of the egg retrieval and 3 days later for you to have a transfer.
3. The pregnancy rates are the same.
Hope this is helpful. Good luck to you,
Serena Chen

a.: After numerous failed IUIs and Ivf procedures we would like to pursue donor eggs. 1. How long is the waiting list at your program? 2. Also, we are traveling from out of town (about 300 miles). How many trips would we have to make per cycle? 3. What is the pregnancy rate per cycle with this procedure ( I see your statistics are from 1997 on your website). Thank you for your time and for volunteering to answer questions here.
