: After ttc for just over 3 yrs and working for a few Dr's and RE's, I started with one at Brooklyn IVF. Due to the fact I had tried everything else and I have endometriosis it was obvious the next step was IVF. First came the BT's. Plus we were made to make an appointment with thier inhouse counsellor. Today I thought I would call for the results of my FSH test I had done on day 3 of cycle. I was told by a nurse that she had brought to the Dr's attention and he told her to tell me to cancel the appointment with the councellor, and that he will do the test on day 3 again next month and if it is the same high result of 18, then I will not be a good candidate for IVF. Short & sweet, cast aside just like that! I was in shock! I called back to talk to the Dr. but he apparently was not there? And there was no one else available to talk to me. What the hell does all this mean??? I am a mess. I have had FSH levels tested with Dr's before and as far as I am aware all was normal. Can you have a bad month? Howcome I am just cast aside like a piece of trash? Are there any GOOD & caring RE's here in NYC? I have Oxford Freedom Plan and my husband has GHI. Can anyone offer advice PLEASE? I am devastated.

There are good and caring re's at Cornell. They accepted me into their program for IVF at age 43 and FSH at 20, hubby has poor sperm.

Don't let your dr. make you feel bad. He may have his reasons for his diagnosis. Talk it over with him. Have the test redone next month and/or get a second opinion. Good luck.
