Try not to be so negative about IVF. I'm just starting my second cycle on clomid but after surgery to remove endo. As an alternative to the surgery and clomid, my RE had given me the option of going directly for IVF because he thought the odds were very favorable. In my mind IVF was a last resort not because of the cost but because of the emotions, so I opted for the surgery and drugs to start. My RE's attitude towards IVF made me realize that while I viewed it as a last resort he viewed it in a much more positive manner and the success he has had on behalf of several friends make me think he is right.
