Thanks for the information! I went back for anoth u/s this am and they were able to see 3 follicles in my right ovary. Looks like the retrieval will be early next week!

: Dear Bulwinkle:
: That is a good question. If the right ovary is always behind your uterus it may make the morning scans a little tricky, but usually this is not a problem at retrieval. At that time you are under anesthesia and even very difficult ovaries are usually accessible. As the follicles get larger, this will also make seeing the ovary easier. It is rare to be unable to retrieve any eggs at all from an ovary.
: Good luck on your cycle.

: : I had an appointment with RE this morning. I'm on my 5 day of Stims - 2 amps of gonal-f am, amps gonal-f pm & 10 unit lupron pm.

: : The u/s this morning showed my right ovary is behind my uterus. My left ovary has five follicles with the lead follicle at 14 and the others not too far behind.
: : The RE said my left ovary is my dominant one but he was unable to determine how many follicles are in my right one.

: : My questions is, is there a chance that my right ovary will move back to it's proper position and if not, will the RE be able to retrieve the follicles from it?

: : Thank you for your time.

: : I really appreciate it!
