After a cycle of pergonal, producing 1 follicle, I was put on BCP for one month. THey said that would stop me from producing hormones for one month, then they put me on 6 amps of gonal-f and micro dose lupron. I did produce 6 folliciles. they said the lupron would keep the follicles growing at a slower pace and make my cylce last longer. With the pergonal my cycle lasted only 8 days until my insem. With this cycle I went 11 days until insem. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Still can't decide if I want to try donor or not. I think we'll take a break for a month and then make a decision. I too am 46, so time is a wasting.
