Luteal phase support is very important. Your doctor's judgement is probably correct that if you have a lot of eggs you will probably have a good progesterone. It never hurts to check.

My biggest problem is your reluctance to ask your RE a question that is on your mind. You should be more comfortable discussing your therapy with him/her.

: I had my first iui, last week. Am unexplained infertility with ttc 2 years. M/c due to blighted ovum 15 months ago. I had the iui then asked the doctor if I needed a progesterone test, (because I know most people have one, and when I first scheduled the iui the nurse said I would need a day 23 progesterone) he said no! That he could tell by the size of my eggs that my progesterone was fine. I am confused. Doesn't everyone need a progesterone test after to see if there is even enough progesterone to support the pregnancy? I am afraid to confront him since I already asked once and he assured me that my egg size would tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
