: My RE noted on something that I was annovulatory. This RE claims that I have pcos. I have gotten my period almost every single month since my first period. Could this be true? I'm annovulatory..have pcos..and get a period? I do have some mild symptoms of pcos..hisuitism (is that what it is called..excessive hair growth in places-not on my face though) and I always have a little acne.

Women can have nearly regular bleeding and still not ovulate. However, most women that report regular cycles coupled with painful periods and premenstrual symptoms are ovulating. Not ovulating as in PCO is a common phenomenom and in way makes you defective. It is a condition that is often treatable. I also would guess by your letter that you picked up on your physicians finding by reading through your chart and I would suggest that you contact your doctor to discuss this further. Good luck
