: I just had an appointment with my RE with suspicions I have PCOS. I have all of the symptoms, and have been unable to conceive with Clomid. She ran all the blood tests, and said that even though my fasting insulin levels were high, (on 2 separate tests, 75.9 the 1st time, and 129.8 the 2nd) I do not have PCOS because my LH to FSH ratio was not high enough. How could she tell that? She did advise my PCP to put me on Met, after he finds out why my liver enzymes are high. Does this sound right, or should I get another opinion? If you think I should have another opinion, can anyone recommend a Dr. in the Metro Detroit area? Thanks in advance!!!
: big hugs to all

I would talk further with your RE. If you have all of the symptoms of PCOS and your LH:FSH ratio is not high shouldnt prevent you from treated for PCOS. Also, your insulin ;levels seem awfully high. I would followup with him/her for clarification
