I have been taking metaformin for over 3months now (1500mg)with a great expectation of helping me loose weight and battle the problems of hair. I have begun to menstruate now, which is great, but unfortunately I have not lost any weight and infact putting it on..the hair on my head is thinning faster than ever and I still fight daily with facial hair. I am very concious about my diet , although I admit I have been lax about it the last month or so. I am coming more and more embarrassed by this body of mine and all its abnormalities. Is there any way forward to help fight these embarrasing and ego destroying cosmetic effects. I live in the UK so I am not to sure if the names of drugs are difernt.I would like to be as educated as possible on subjects before the end of the month as I have an appointment with my GP.
