The best way to control the facial hair is to combine hormonal treatments with hair removal techniques. You should consult a PCOS specialist re: the use of drugs such as Spironolactone, Finasteride or Flutamide. Each is effective but has different side effects. I like Finasteride as it is given once-a-day and has few side effects. My patients seem to do well with it. Good luck.

: I just read the aritcle in LHJ last night. I'm so grateful to have some information! I was diagnosed about 4 years ago after the birth of my 2nd son(conceived with help from Clomid) but given no info and no treatment.Meanwhile, my facial hair is growing out of control! Electrolisis hasn't touched it and I'm getting desperate. Any advice about laser hair removal,or other treatments would be appreciated.
