I am 34 years old, and was diagnosed with PCOS maybe 14 years ago. I had twins 7 years ago with the help of Clomid (don't want any more children). Currently only PCOS "treatment" is oral contraceptives. My question is this: what, if anything, should I be doing to further treat PCOS? I am on Weight Watchers (21 pounds so far) to get back to a decent weight and am walking regularly. Do I need blood tests or other medication? My symptoms are mild hirsutism (which I can live with) and being overweight. My cycles are regular only because I'm on BCP. In general PCOS doesn't bother me that much but I'm concerned about long-term health risks. Any information you can pass along would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
