PCOS is possible as long as you have ovaries. Insulin resistance, which may account for your symptoms, can be present even without ovaries. A hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus only and would not mitigate your symptoms.

: I never had a problem with getting pregnant. I have 4 sons. However I have always had odd periods, missed periods, or very painful periods, so pregnancy was a great relief for me. Almost two years ago I had to have a hysterectomy, was told that I had endemetriosis, and alot of cyst's all over my uterius and ovaries. During this time I noticed massive weight gain, and facial hair growth on jaw line. Since my surgery non of these problems have gona away, in fact there has been an increase of weight gain. The acne has always been present, and was told by my Doc it was caused by the Estrace Iam taking. I am 36 years old, and this has really got me worried. Any help, suggestions, or comments, I'm open to all now.
